Our core team currently consists of two senior experts and one junior expert. We have many years of consulting experience both in Germany and abroad. In addition, we collaborate with a pool of experienced colleagues.
Claudia Wilkens is an economist with qualifications in evaluation and organisational development as well as further training in the approach of Gestalt psychology. She has been working as an international strategy and process consultant as well as in technical advisor positions since the turn of the millennium – with work experience in over 20 countries. Claudia Wilkens has for many years been intensively involved in the work fields of conflict transformation and governance, monitoring and evaluation as well as training and qualification. In her advisory services, she can combine her various fields of expertise, such as results-based monitoring in conflict-prone and fragile environments or inter-linking strategy planning with the moderation of team development processes. Before joining MIC as Managing Director, she worked as technical advisor in charge of implementation within the post-tsunami reconstruction and rehabilitation programme of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH in Aceh, Indonesia.

Thomas Koepf is a social scientist and has completed further qualification in personnel development. He joined MIC in 1996 after a two-year assignment for a programme of the former GTZ. He became a MIC partner in 2002, and since 2013, has held one of the two MIC Managing Director positions. Thomas Koepf is active in the work fields of strategy and process consultancy, project management and capacity development – with work experience in over 20 countries. As technical advisor, he specialises in monitoring & evaluation, cross-cultural organisational and personnel development and generally deals with topics in the area of “migration and integration” in the form of expert evaluations, studies, process consultancy and training.

Jan Leschke holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Heidelberg University, complemented by additional academic experience in Sociology as well as Media and Communication Studies. His main areas of interest include U.S. politics, conflict research and migration policy. Methodologically, he has strong expertise in both qualitative quantitative data analysis. He is proficient in using statistical software such as R and Stata Professionally, Jan Leschke worked for many years as a freelance contributor for the regional newspaper Die Rheinpfalz and has been supporting the Integration Department of the City of Ludwigshafen since 2016 in various projects, events, and internal processes. In this role, he has engaged with a wide range of integration-related issues at the municipal level. Since May 2024, he has been part of the MIC team as a Junior Expert. His work includes research, data analysis, as well as technical and procedural advisory support, primarily in the areas of migration, organisational development, and international cooperation.
